King's Hall

TURN is facilitating the opening of a women and children’s shelter (called “The Kings” Hall) in the City of Riverside to be located in deserted barracks at the March Air Reserve Base. It is our prayer that this facility would be a model for the use of other inactive military facilities to be used to shelter and care for the needy.

TURN will be facilitating this collaborative ministry in the following ways over the next year:

  • Communicating with local pastors/ministers and their churches by sharing the vision of this collaborative service opportunity;
  • Being the intermediary with the supporting city churches by receiving church funds to be utilized by ministry partner “Path of Life” to administer the shelter;
  • Providing direct ministry by facilitating and funding kid’s clubs in order to provide Christian support, Bible teaching and worship experiences for shelter youth.

TURN will also establish and coordinate the volunteer network for the multiple ministry service opportunities needed for shelter operation.

Volunteer Network opportunities include:

  • Supporting women by partnering in a Parenting Program.
  • Supporting children in Pre-School Program.
  • Mentoring youth.
  • Tutoring.
  • Transportation.
  • Office Administration.
