Today's Urban Renewal Network

Local Ministry among the Riverside Churches

TURN is grateful for:

  • An area-wide collaboration of churches that represent over 25,000 Christians in our community.
  • Financial support from our churches that has allowed for King's Hall Homeless Shelter to open its doors to our community's women and children when they needed it most.
  • Churches that serve at the shelters by remodeling rooms, giving Bible studies, hosting programs for children and feeding with the Guest Chefs program.

Supporting Efforts in Northern Uganda

TURN's global ministry is all about:

  • Networking and empowering ministries and leaders on the ground in northern Uganda.
  • Partnering with Favor of God ministries on the ground in Gulu in the development of a Children's Village to care for the orphans who are the innocent victims in this conflict.

What's Happening

Partnering in Gulu, Uganda
TURN is overseeing the state-side operations of our partner from Gulu, Uganda, Favor of God Ministries. Through trauma counseling, houses of prayer, a Bible college, portable Bible schools, youth ministry, prison ministry and the House of Hope Orphanage, Favor of God is bringing hope and lasting transformation throughout Gulu, the IDPs in northern Uganda and now into the Sudan and surrounding countries.
Partnering with Riverside Churches
The 2nd Thursday of every month, TURN facilitates a meeting of local pastors who have a heart to serve our community and work together in unity. Through prayer, service and giving, this network of churches has made a profound impact on the greater Riverside area through our Foster Care, Homeless, and Prayer Ministries.
